Kerala stormed into the quarterfinal league of the Santhosh Trophy Football Championship with a 4-0 thrashing of Himachal Pradesh in Cuttack on Tuesday.

Midfielder Vineeth Antony struck a brace while Rakesh and Mohammed Rasi added one each. Kerala are yet to concede in the tournament, having sunk Tripura 4-0 on Friday.

After a goal-less first half, winger Rakesh opened the account with a sublime finish two minutes into the second period. Vineeth doubled the advantage seven minutes later.

Vineeth completed his brace in the 60th minute, before Rasi sealed the game with a 78th minute goal.
After the easy pre-quarter, Kerala face hot favourites Punjab in their first quarterfinal league match on Friday.

If Kerala have to make further in-roads, they will need to overcome arch-rivals and defending champions West Bengal in the second quarter league match on Sunday.
